The “Who Viewed Your Profile” feature on LinkedIn can be a useful tool, as it allows you to see a list of people that visited your profile in the past 90 days. This feature, available for both Basic and Premium LinkedIn accounts, could help you establish some useful connections. However, if you have a Premium account, you’ll get a more detailed insight into your audience.

How to Check Who Viewed your Profile on LinkedIn

In this guide, we’ll show you how to see who viewed your profile on LinkedIn across different devices. We’ll also address some frequently asked questions about this LinkedIn feature.

How to See Who Viewed Your LinkedIn Profile From a PC

LinkedIn’s Who Viewed Your Profile feature is technically available on both Basic and Premium LinkedIn accounts. However, there are a couple of differences.

When it comes to the Basic, free LinkedIn account, you can see who viewed your profile only if you allow other LinkedIn members to see your account when you view their profile. This is done by adjusting the private and semi-private modes you can set when you go to Profile viewing options. In other words, if you use private mode on LinkedIn, then you won’t be able to use the Who Viewed Your Profile feature.

However, if you have a Premium LinkedIn account, you’ll be able to use this feature even if you’re in private mode.

To set your profile viewing options to display your name and headline when you visit other profiles on LinkedIn, follow the steps below:

  1. Visit LinkedIn on your browser.
  2. Log in if you haven’t already.
  3. Click on your profile picture in the upper-right corner of your screen.
  4. Select Settings & Privacy on the drop-down menu.
  5. Go to Visibility on the left sidebar on the new page.
  6. Proceed to Visibility of your profile & network right under the Visibility tab.
  7. Next to Profile viewing options, click on Change.
  8. Choose Your name and headline.

The changes to your account will be saved automatically. Now that you’ve enabled others to view your name when you see their profile, you’ll be able to see who viewed your profile as well.

This is how it’s done on a PC:

  1. Open LinkedIn on your browser and log in to your account.
  2. Click on Me under your profile picture in the upper-right corner of your screen.
  3. Select the View Profile button on the drop-down menu.
  4. Go to the Who Viewed Your Profile option under your profile picture on the left side.

You can also access this option directly from your dashboard. It will be on the left sidebar, under your profile picture and your name.

Even if you didn’t set the profile viewing option to display your name, you’d be able to see the number of people who visited your profile in the past seven days. When you go to the Who Viewed Your Profile page, LinkedIn will prompt you to turn off private mode.

As mentioned before, if you have a Premium account, you’ll have insight into much more information. You’ll see your viewer trends and insights on a weekly basis. The graph will also show you the increase or decrease, in percentages, in the number of viewers as opposed to last week.

How to See Who Viewed Your LinkedIn Profile From the iPhone App

You can also see who viewed your profile directly on the LinkedIn app. This is how you’d do it on an iPhone:

  1. Open the LinkedIn app on your iPhone.
  2. Log in if you haven’t already.
  3. Tap on your profile picture in the upper-left corner of the app.
  4. Proceed to the Who Viewed Your Profile feature on the menu.

That’s all there is to it. You can also find this feature on your LinkedIn profile, directly under your profile picture and basic information.

Keep in mind that if your profile hasn’t had a single view in the past 90 days, the Who Viewed Your Profile option won’t be there.

How to See Who Viewed Your LinkedIn Profile From an Android Device

To see who viewed your LinkedIn profile on the Android app, follow the steps below:

  1. Launch the LinkedIn app on your Android device.
  2. Sign in to your account.
  3. Tap on your profile picture in the upper-right corner of your screen.
  4. Select Who Viewed Your Profile on the menu.

If you have a Premium LinkedIn account, you’ll also be able to swipe through tabs that will display viewer insights. For example, the graphs will show you the job titles and companies associated with your viewers, as well as exactly where they found your profile.

Additional FAQs

Is it possible to see who viewed my profile in private mode?

Whether or not you can see who viewed your profile while you’re in private mode depends on the type of profile you have. If you have a Basic LinkedIn profile, you won’t be able to see who viewed your profile while you’re in private or semi-private mode. On the other hand, this is possible for Premium users.

If you’re a Premium viewer in private mode, when you visit someone’s LinkedIn profile, they’ll get a notification that an anonymous LinkedIn member visited their profile. However, if you’re in semi-private mode, people whose profiles you’ve visited will be able to see your job title or the name of the company associated with your account.

Why can’t I see everyone who viewed my profile?

Having a Premium LinkedIn account lets you see who viewed your profile, even if you’re in private mode. However, if the person who viewed your profile is in private mode too, then you won’t be able to see their information. This is simply how LinkedIn protects the privacy of those who wish to browse privately.

Find Out Who Has Been Visiting Your LinkedIn Profile

It can be quite useful to find out who has viewed your profile on LinkedIn. It will help you gain insight into your profile’s visibility and your audience as well. Whether you have a Basic or a Premium account, you’ll be able to use the Who Viewed Your Profile feature on LinkedIn.
