Taking a screenshot on a computer is just as simple as taking one on a phone. However, it doesn’t relate to long screenshots, especially scrolling ones, as neither Windows nor macOS has a pre-installed tool for that. If you’d like to take a scrolling screen capture but are unsure how, we’ll share the tools you need to take a scrolling screenshot.

In this guide, we’ll explain how to take a scrolling screenshot in Chrome, both on Windows 10 and macOS. Additionally, we’ll provide instructions for taking regular and long static screenshots. Read on to find the best screen-capturing apps and Chrome extensions.

  2. Select any screen capturing extension you prefer among those offered – for example, FireShot, which is one of the top-rated extensions for Chrome.
  3. Click “Add to Chrome,” then “Add Extension.”
  4. The new extension icon should appear in the upper right-hand corner of your browser. The FireShot icon is the letter “S.”
